Torre de Belém - A trip to the capital should take in the Torre de Belém, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of Portugal’s most famous monuments. The Gothic tower was built to guard the entrance to the harbour and has some fine examples of Portuguese stonework dating from the 1500s.
LX Factory - This hub of creative industries also has shops, cafés, a very stylish bookstore and, on Sunday mornings, a market where you can pick up accessories, handicrafts, clothing and other cool stuff.
Rio Maravilha - A gastrobar in the LX Factory complex with an incredible view over the city and a touch of Brazilian style, this is overseen by one of Lisbon’s leading chefs, Diogo Noronha.
Rua Garrett - The famous street Rua Garrett offers high-end shopping, as well as museums and theaters.

Stop on way to Porto in Mealhada for suckling Pig.
Suckling Pigs - Pedro dos Leitoes and Meta dos Leitoes are safe bets in Mealhada, Casa Vidal in nearby Aguada de Cima is a favorite with many insiders.

Miradouro dos Terracos do Carmo (R Nova do Almada 87, 1200-091, Lisboa) - cool rooftop hangout look out to Santa Justa Lift.
Carmo Archaeological Museum (Largo do Carmo, 1200-092 Lisboa) - skeletal gothic church with ceramics and other art and occasional plays at night, very cool sight inside.
Cafe da Garagem - C(osta do Castelo 75, 100-178) awesome little cafe with one of the best views in Lisbon, good salads too.
Mercado do Bolhão, Porto's glorious 19th-century wrought-iron covered market, where vendors do a brisk trade in fruit, veg, olives, cheese, bread, smoked meats and sausages
Cafe Santiago - Porto is the home of the francesinha, a gut-busting monster of an open sandwich made with linguiça (garlicky smoked pork sausage), roast meat and ham, topped with cheese and a fried egg and drenched in rich beer sauce.
Adega do Olho, a backstreet dive devoted to old-school Porto cooking, where a plate-load of tripas will set you back 3.50 euros ($4). (6, R. Afonso Martins Alho, 4000 Porto; +351 22 205 7745)
Hop on the little wooden boat at Cais do Ouro (near Ponte da Arrábida) to cross the Douro River. It brings you to the village of Afurada, a refreshing blast of old-fashioned Portugal, with fishermen selling off the day's catch. Mind the walk back to the Ribeira on this side is pretty far - no way to cross until you're all the way back.
Armazém - tapas and wine bar by the water. Also big vintage shop with some cool items. (Rua de Miragaia 93, 4050-554, Porto)

A Grade (Rua da Saoicolau 9, 223-321-130) is a humble family operation and a masterwork of traditional fare.
Cheese: amarelo da Beira Baix and Serra da Estrela
Sea Me (Rua do Loreto 21, 1200-036 Lisboa) - great seafood, modern menu, try the seafood market for the freshest selection.
Drinks
Best place to start the night is Rio de Candido dos Reis. Wide assortment of pretty similar looking bars with indoor/outdoor seating. Choose from Porto Tonico, The Gin Club, Bar Baixa, W Do Wilson Bar and more.
Miradouro Ignez - good bar to watch the sunset or grab a quick snack during the day, awesome views. (rua da Restauracao 252 4050-592, Porto).
BOP - True to its name, BOP (bop.pt) is the place to bop along to your favourite tunes while enjoying a wine, single-origin pour-over coffee or BOP’s own tap beer. The bar is lined with a collection of more than 2500 records and patrons are invited to spin a vinyl on one of the communal record players with a set of headphones.
BASE - Open air bar in a park - hang out on the grass / wooden pallets. cocktails and beer are great.
Café Candelabro, boho - cool, a born-again bookstore serving drinks.

ALGARVE
When we leave Porto we drive back down the coast past Lisbon, stop at Arrabida National Park. Stay a night in Setabul, just outside the park.
Then stay a night in Comporta. Go to Alcácer do Sal, Portugal for dogfish soup (Porto Santana - https://goo.gl/maps/sjxFVZCDntK2)
Then travel to Porto Covo drive through. See the little town.

Travel to Odeceixe. Spend a day and night here
Then travel down the coast stopping at Arrifana Beach making it down to Sagres - the end of the world. Stop along the way for black pig in Alentejo region (Alentejo's most distinctive dish combines clams with garlic-and-red-pepper-marinated pork.)
Then cut east stopping at (Praia da Figueira Hidden hike half a mile in. there are many like this along the coast) and stay in Lagos

Montes De Alvor - stay here one night
Skydive Algarve (Aerodromo Municipal de Portimao, 8500-059) - this is a must, best diving in Europe.
Then go to Farro *Avoid the booze hotspots of Algarve: Albufeira and Vilamoura*
